Urjit patel appointed as New RBI Governor
Here is new Rbi Governor appointed on 20augest 2016.
The 52-year-old economist , consultant, banker was serving as a RBI Deputy Governor and will now succeed RaghuRam Rajan
Mr. Patel is likely to assume in office on 5th september , a day after RaghuRam Rajan's three-year terms comes to an end.
Patel who holds a doctorate in economics from yale , is created to be one of the main architects of re-engineering of the RBI monetary policy structure.
